Hurstwood bags Czech deal

The Czech Consulate is to open its second UK office, signing a 15-year lease for a 4,000 sq ft suite at Hurstwood’s Nexus building in Old Trafford.

Hurstwood Holdings acquired Nexus, a 26,023 sq ft office block in City Park, in April 2016 and has since refurbished the building. Nexus is now fully let with occupiers including Barratt Homes. Quoting rental levels for the building were £15 per sq ft.

Andy Park, managing director of Hurstwood Holdings, said: “In the wake of the Brexit situation and in order to improve its services for Czech citizens currently living in England, the Czech Republic recognised a growing need to extend its consulate services in Manchester.

“We were able to offer them suitable accommodation that fitted with their timeframes and provides an ideal base for the new Consulate office.”
