Homesure expands with latest company acquisition
Beech Properties has been snapped up by the Liverpool-based property management firm in a six-figure deal, adding more than 200 landlords to its books.
Homesure Property is an independently owned and managed estate and letting agency operating across Liverpool City Region and Cheshire. The company has acquired Beech in its fifth company acquisition in seven years, taking its portfolio to more than 3,000 units.
All of Beech’s landlords have now transitioned into Homesure’s property management system, following Beech founder Gordon Cuthbert’s decision to return to Ireland full time.
Nick Stott, chief executive of Homesure, said: “Our values align, so we’re pleased to be able to provide a continuity of service to Beech landlords.
“It’s more challenging to manage property now than ever before”, Stott continued.
“With increased legislation, coupled with things like selective licensing for landlords, there are a lot of plates to keep spinning.
“We’ve created a business model that meets those challenges in a way that smaller firms and self-managing landlords inevitably struggle to do.”
Since its launch in 2007, Homesure has grown from a team of two to one of more than 40 employees. With its head office in Woolton Village, the firm operates across two other offices in Old Swan and Prescot.
Stott explained that the market in Liverpool has “always bucked” national trends.
“Today, as the rental market quite rightly becomes more professional, making homes safer and better for the communities and environments they’re situated in, we’re seeing professional investors – from home and abroad – looking for areas of high capital growth.
“With Liverpool’s longstanding cultural heritage, such as our music scene, world-renowned architecture, and sports and leisure attractions, investors can see solid, long-term safety for their investment cash, bringing more and more investment into our city.”
