Heaton Chapel Tesla garage to make way for housing

MSA Business Developments wants to build 10 townhouses and 28 apartments on the site of a showroom on the A6.

The landowner has submitted plans to redevelop the one-acre former Tesla showroom on Wellington Road North in Heaton Chapel to Stockport Council.

Tesla took over the site in 2015. It had previously been operated by Guy Salmon, selling a range of cars including Jeeps, Chryslers, and Jaguars.

Designed by CODA Architecture, the development features 10 four-bed townhouses, 18 one-bed flats, and 10 two-bedroom flats.

The proposed three-storey apartment building would front Wellington Road North. Six of the townhouses would be constructed parallel to Howard Street and the final four would be located to the rear of the site abutting the eastern boundary of the site.

Looks like a decent development and a nice architectural nod to the immediate area

The A6 through Heaton chapel is a dump so nice to see something of quality go in, nice change from ‘car washes’

Looks nice that. Agree it fits the area nicely – we walk past this most days. Would be ideal if the Tesco express next door opened again too 🙂

Looks like a good scheme. Great location and plenty of cycle parking provided, which is nice to see.
