Full list of winners revealed for Manchester’s £200m civils framework
Manchester City Council has chosen contractors including Balfour Beatty and George Cox & Sons for its inaugural £200m civil engineering framework, with 13 firms named across eight lots.
Major players including Colas, Galliford Try, and Interserve have been named alongside locally-based AE Yates, and George Cox & Sons (see full list below).
Galliford Try and North Midland have been named across all eight lots, while Dawnus has been named on five, and Sisk has been named on four.
The four-year framework includes primarily highways work, but will also include bridge construction, earthworks, site clearance, and other civils work.
The framework will officially begin in January.
Manchester City Council executive member for the environment and skills, Cllr Angeliki Stogia, said: “Our infrastructure framework will ensure that major civil engineering projects for Manchester deliver quality, value for money and maximum social value for our residents.
“We look forward to working with the successful bidders to provide better highways for Manchester, while at the same time, creating new jobs and training opportunities for local people.”
