EA to establish advisory panel

The regional division of the Environment Agency is setting up a three-year framework agreement with consultants to assist its estates department.

The contract, not due to begin until May 2010, will cover land agency, general practice surveying, building and quantity surveying, architectural services, environmental consultancy and property services.

The Warrington-based division will award a one-year contract initially with an option to extend for another two years. Bidders have until 2 November to register their interest.

The EA is responsible for enforcing laws governing environmental protection and delivering policy on such issues as flood defences.
