Dominos Pizza puts Penrith base up for sale
Pizza chain Dominos has put its 29,000 sq ft distribution facility on Penrith’s Gilwilly Industrial Estate up for sale at a guide price of £1.5m.
The company has instructed Colliers International on the sale, which is it bringing forward after it decided to relocate to a new 117,000 sq ft warehouse at Omega South in Warrington last year.
Built in the early 2000s on a two-acre plot, the site features 17,700 sq ft of warehouse space along with 7,250 sq ft of production space and 3,400 sq ft of offices. There is also parking space for 30 cars and 14 HGVs.
John Sullivan, director, industrial and logistics at the Manchester office of Colliers International, said: “The unit is in a prominent location on Gilwilly Industrial Estate and visible from the M6 motorway, with access from Junction 40, within a few minutes’ drive. The unit represents a rare opportunity to purchase a freehold warehouse, which rarely come on to the market in this location.”
The Gilwilly Industrial Estate sits just outside Penrith, and is one of the sites put forward for development in Eden Council’s Local Plan. The council is proposing a 29.4-acre extension of the site, making it the largest employment allocation in the borough.

I trust it was a quality ‘Italian style’ base – rather than that nasty ‘deep pan’ nonsense.
