Demolition to pave the way for more Moreton homes

Wirral Council has granted Countryside Partnerships permission to demolish Moreton Family Centre off Pasture Road.

Removing the family centre will make room for 45 homes and a supermarket. Outline planning permission has already been secured for this endeavor.

Countryside received planning advice from Savills on the project. Urban Regen will carry out the demolition.

WGC, the joint venture between the council and Muse, got approval for a hybrid application in 2022 which proposed a Lidl supermarket on one part of the site.

The 45 homes and an 80-bedroom extra care development were the second half of the plans.

Demolition is set to continue through 16 September this year.

This has to be a positive as this empty building is an eyesore, also the homes are near the railway station which means commuting by public transport will be a great advantage.
