Bruntwood’s Hancock joins OBI
Josh Hancock has made the move after 13 years with his previous employer.
Hancock has joined Manchester-based OBI’s 40-strong transactions and asset management team and will lead on leasing the leasing efforts for some of the city’s newest office buildings including AM Alpha’s Rylands and Landsec’s Republic, which are both under construction.
During his time at Bruntwood SciTech, Hancock worked across the firm’s city centre portfolio as head of commercial, overseeing projects including the recently completed £35m Pall Mall retrofit.
He will continue to work with his former employee as he heads into agency with OBI; the firm is instructed on Bruntwood SciTech’s portfolio.
“What attracts me to OBI at this stage in my career is the opportunity to join a well-established market-leading consultancy that has an impressive portfolio of instructions in Manchester,” Hancock said.
“Having followed OBI’s growth closely and given that I’ve worked with the team on the majority of the Bruntwood portfolio, I know I’m joining a successful, fast-paced, and dynamic business.”
He added: “OBI’s involvement in both landmark new builds and high-end refurbishments is a major draw for me, and I look forward to contributing to the continued growth of the business.”
Andrew Cowell, OBI’s transactions and asset management lead, added: “Over the past five years we have leased in excess of 2.1m sq ft making OBI Manchester’s most active leasing consultant.
“Josh’s experience and expertise in the Manchester market will undoubtedly support this growth and ensure we continue to provide our clients with a premium service.”
