Cushman appoints Canning’s Lewis as partner
Daniel Lewis will sit in the consultancy’s national office agency team.
He has joined Cushman & Wakefield as partner from Canning O’Neill where he was an associate director for a year and a half.
Prior to that, Lewis spent more than six years as a senior surveyor at Bruntwood.
“It is an exciting time to join Cushman & Wakefield and I’m proud to join a globally recognised firm,” he said.
“Alongside my colleagues in Manchester, I look forward to helping clients achieve their ambitions across the region.”
Based at the firm’s Manchester office, Lewis will work alongside Rob Yates, Joe Parker, and Jenson Smith on office disposals and acquisitions across the North West, advising investor, developer, and occupier clients.
Much of that work will be in Manchester, where demand for workspace remains robust amid dwindling supply. Last year, the city recorded 1.1m sq ft of take-up, down slightly year-on-year.
Rob Yates, head of North West office leasing at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “79% of activity [being] concentrated in Grade A space [highlights] the continued appeal of high-quality offices and their critical role in supporting regional business growth.”

Great hire and a top bloke. Leads from the front on a Thursday night down the Vine.
