CBRE launches two new teams in Manchester
Property advisor CB Richard Ellis has created dedicated teams to meet growing demand in the leisure investment and environmental services markets at its Manchester office.
The first new team will handle investments in hospitality, leisure and healthcare sectors. Shaun Skidmore, formerly an in-house hospitality expert within National Australia Bank's acquisition finance team and a director of a Pan-European leisure adviser, joins as director to run the team of three.
The second is a seven-strong environmental services team headed by Paul Lillie, formerly of CPL Environmental, advising vendors and purchasers on land contamination issues across the UK.
CBRE employs 110 staff across the North West in offices in Manchester and Liverpool.
Lillie said: "The climate change and carbon footprints are all buzz words in the property industry at the moment but, even though the UK has a long industrial history, the 'brown' environment has only made it on the agenda over the last 15 years.
"This area is particularly important during a down-turn in the market, as more people are likely to spend time considering the environmental impact on a valuable sale than in a buoyant market when competition for property is high and significant profits are to be made."
