Bellway set for start at Primrose Meadow

Bellway Homes has acquired 14 acres off land on Liverpool Road in Great Sankey from United Utilities, with planning permission for 140 homes.

The scheme, granted consent in April, is made up of three bedroom semi-detached homes and a range of three, four and five bedroom detached houses.

The new development will be known as Primrose Meadow, with the name inspired by the town’s Warrington Wolves rugby team, who play in primrose and blue kits.

Bellway last built in Warrington two years ago at The Heath in Stockton Heath.

The first homes are due to be complete for occupancy in 2018.

Bellway said it is making a transport contribution of £157,700, as well as £28,400 towards the Primary Care Trust and a further £25,600 towards public open space and an equipped play area.

A Mersey Forest contribution of £40,000 has been agreed and almost £2m will be provided for affordable housing.
