Baxter earmarks seven acres in Blackpool for affordable homes
Located north of Moss House Road in Marton, the site is the subject of plans for 110 discounted properties.
Baxter Homes has submitted an application to build a mix of apartments and houses on a seven-acre plot sitting within Redwood Point, a 422-home development previously being brought forward by Kensington Developments.
The scheme would feature one- and two-bed flats, two-bed bungalows, two and three-bed semi-detached properties and four-bed detached homes.
All of the properties would be available on affordable tenures and would be operated by Progress Housing, according to planning documents.
A viability assessment for the project puts the construction cost at £15.6m and estimates a gross development value of £20.9m.
Fylde Design and Smith & Love Planning Consultants are advising Baxter.

I object if you’re going to build on this land please keep the new buildings in line with the other houses in the area . If this goes ahead with the application submitted it’s certainly isn’t . I hope all considerations have will be noted to the number of cars on a small road plus possible flooding due to not enough drainage in our area hence being known as Marton Moss !
