Barker Proudlove recruits Savills pair

Savills’ former head of Northern retail agency, James Lamming, and associate director Phil Coombes, have joined Barker Proudlove.

After 10 years with Savills, Lamming joins as director based in Leeds and Coombes joins as associate director working across the Manchester and Leeds offices.

The pair will continue to work on a range of High Street and shopping centre leasing instructions for major institutional landlords including LaSalle Investment Management, Schroders, New River Retail and Ellandi.

Coombes will work on acquisitions for Poundland, Byron, Card Factory, Deichmann, Perfect Home, The Works, ASK, Zizzi and Betfred.

Lamming brings over 3m sq ft of shopping centre asset management and leasing instructions spread across the North.

Along with the recruitment of Rebecca Heptonstall into the Leeds office, the Barker Proudlove team now extends to 10 fee earners and claims to be the largest independent niche retail agency firm in the North.
