Aurora/PPG plan Cross Street office revamp

Aurora Property Developments and Premier Property Group have submitted plans to refurbish offices at 22-26 Cross Street in central Manchester.

Work on the eight-storey, 26,000 sq ft office building, next to the Royal Exchange theatre, will begin in November if planning consent is given. The new offices will be available for occupation in June 2009.

HKR Architects designed the new offices, which will range from 2,000 sq ft to 21,800 sq ft, with 2,600 sq ft of retail on the ground floor.

CB Richard Ellis and Knight Frank were appointed to market the office accommodation and Jones Lang LaSalle for the retail outlet.

David Porter, partner at Knight Frank, said: "With its combination of the original façade and new high quality space internally, we are already receiving a significant amount of interest from occupiers seeking self contained floors. It is perfectly placed to meet the current office demand in the city."
