Anwyl picks Tudor Owen as land director

Mathew Tudor Owen will lead the land and planning team from the housebuilder’s Cheshire and North Wales division, based in Ewloe in Flintshire.

Responsibilities centre on delivering the company’s business plan and identifying sites to support the continued growth of operations across Cheshire and North Wales.

Tudor Owen has been with Anwyl Homes since 2017, working his way up into a land manager role before his recent promotion to land director. He has replaced Alex Wigfield in the role.

Before joining Anwyl, he spent four years as a land manager with Redrow Homes.

Tudor Owen will be based at Anwyl’s office in St David’s Park, where 80 employees are based.

Mathew Tudor Owen, land director at Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said: “I’m excited to take on a new challenge and continue to help drive Anwyl’s growth.

“We have ambitious plans for the business and a great team in place to deliver on them.

“Planning remains one of the biggest challenges facing the sector. However, with the right strategy and teamwork, I’m confident we’ll continue to secure great sites and build on our strong pipeline.”

Mark Calvert, managing director for Anwyl Homes, added: “Mathew’s promotion is very well deserved.

“Since joining us eight years ago, he has played a key role in our land strategy and has been instrumental in helping us expand into new areas.

“His in-depth market knowledge and strong relationships make him a valuable asset to the business, and I’m confident he’ll continue to drive our growth ambitions forward in his new role.”

Tudor Owen has been involved in Anwyl’s 65-home Dalton Fields development in Chorlton and Lottie Gardens in Bebington.
