Analysts tour Manchester developments
Morgan Sindall subsidiaries Muse Developments and Lovell are hosting a site visit for City analysts in Manchester and Salford on Tuesday.
The day trip will begin with a briefing at the Cathedral Centre in Salford by Matt Crompton, joint managing director of Muse, before a walk through the developer's Chapel Street development site, then onto Allied London's Spinningfields, up to Victoria station – where Muse has a development joint venture proposed with Network Rail – the Co-operative Group's NOMA scheme, and Muse's Smithfield project in the Northern Quarter.
Crompton told Place on Tuesday morning: "The purpose of the visit is to get the analysts out of London and come and see what's happening on the ground – and hopefully see that the 'frozen north' is not to so frozen."
Among the host team will be John Morgan, executive chairman of Morgan Sindall Group, chief executive Paul Smith and finance director David Mulligan.
Lunch will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Smithfield, before the 'baton' is handed over to Stewart Davenport, managing director of affordable house builder Lovell, who will present before taking the dozen or so analysts on a bus tour of Lovell sites in Beswick and Miles Platting. The analysts will return to London in the mid-afternoon.
Last week Morgan Sindall said it would increase spend at Muse and Lovell and forecast a promising return in its regeneration divisions.
