Wythenshawe to get SEND school

Manchester City Council has approved Hurstwood Holdings’ plan to convert the 20,000 sq ft Vision House off Floats Road into a 100-capacity school for children and young adults with special needs.

The change of use application was submitted to the city council by Broadgrove Planning Consultants and outlines the conversion of the vacant two-storey office block.

Vision House sits on 2.4 acres at the Roundthorn Industrial Estate and was home to Maginus Software before the company left in 2023.

The project team for the conversion includes ArchitectFolk, Jameson Acoustics, SK Transport, Williams Sillitoe, PG Consulting, and NoiseAir.
