Workspace Design & Build bolsters senior leadership team
David Barnett and Matt Burrow have been promoted to finance director and construction director, respectively, at the Manchester-based commercial interior design and fit-out company.
Both joined Workspace Design & Build last year and have “made a significant contribution to the business,” according to company managing director Russell Davis.
“David has strengthened our financial reporting and commercial insight, while Matt has built a stronger pre-construction function and improved the connection between planning and project delivery,” Davis said.
“Their experience and leadership will help us continue to develop the business and deliver for our clients.”
Barnett has more than 20 years of experience as an accountant, half of which was spent for working with property companies such as Ocasa Homes and Zenith Property Management.
Burrow has more than 30 years of experience in construction and was heavily involved in delivering the 32,000 sq ft Civic office block in Wigan for developer Capital&Centric.
Burrow said he is ready to hit the ground running in his new role.
“Having worked in the industry for over 30 years, I’ve learnt that successful projects are built around good people, clear communication, teamwork, and accountability.
“We’ve already made some positive changes, but there is plenty more to achieve. I’m looking forward to working closely with the team, building on the foundations we’ve established and helping drive the business forward.”
Burrow and Barnett’s promotions follow the departure of director Laura Peters and marketing director Lauren Hart, who have stepped down to focus on their families.
In addition to Civic, other recent projects from Workspace Design & Build include Grosvenor House in Birmingham, and Curtis Building in London.
