Work starts on Evo Industrial’s 88,888 sq ft shed

Howard Russell Construction has been appointed to build the unit, located off Omega Boulevard in Warrington.

Evo Industrial won approval for the 88,888 sq ft scheme last month and preparatory work has now started on site.

The building, known as EVO Warrington 89, aims to achieve BREEAM Excellent accreditation, the developer said.

Evo is also targeting an A+ rating for energy performance and says the building will be net zero carbon in operation.

“It’s a major milestone for us to be developing our fifth net zero carbon building and this is a fantastic site to be bringing that aspiration to life,” said Adam Courtenay, director at Evo Logistics.

Work is due to complete next spring and CBRE and Williams Sillitoe have been appointed as joint agents on the speculatively developed unit.

Paul Cook, senior director at CBRE, expects a high level of interest in the scheme due to businesses “seeking properties offering low running costs and a low carbon footprint, we are confident there will be high interest in this scheme.”
