Work begins on Protector Insurance’s £5.5m Manchester fit-out

Flexible Business Interiors has kicked off the project at 3 Hardman Street, with completion expected this summer.

Protector Insurance signed a 25,000 sq ft expansion for its Manchester head office last year, taking its total footprint within Mapletree’s 395,000 sq ft Spinningfields building to 35,000 sq ft.

The firm has now appointed FBI to deliver the £5.5m fit-out.

The scheme, devised by BlueSky Design, includes Cat A and Cat B fit-out works and a full furniture package.

The centrepeice of the project is a large, multi-purpose social space, which will act as an events space and place for staff to unwind.

David Leah, director at Flexible Business Interiors, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Protector Insurance again and to support their significant expansion in Manchester.

“Building on our previous collaboration, and in partnership with the wider team, this project allows us to deliver a comprehensive fit-out solution that reflects their brand and ambition.”

The wider project team includes BWP and Crookes Walker Consulting.

Other firms located at 3 Hardman Street include Glaisyers Solicitors, Goldcrest Financial, Barclays, Investec, and the GMC.
