Wirral agrees to 77,500 sq ft industrial unit

Max Spielmann will be the owner and occupier of the development on the 9.5-acre site off Power Road on Bromborough’s international business park.

Wirral Council has approved an application seeking full approval for the 77,400 sq ft main industrial unit and outline plans for further units in the north west corner of the almost 80,000 sq ft site.

This will provide facilities for storage and distribution as well as industrial use, and include an internal office mezzanine space.

The site was previously home to a two-storey office building which had been occupied by Epichem but that was demolished last year having been vacant for a number of years.

Almost three years ago plans for a housing development on the site were refused as it was deemed not to be a suitable residential location.

Access to the site for staff will be from an existing entrance point on Power Road to a car park with 93 spaces. Another car park facing Power Road will provide a further 11 spaces.

The potential economic and employment benefits of the development, bringing a vacant site back into use, outweigh the possible impact on wildlife in the vicinity, according to the planning officer report.

NJL Consulting, AEW Architects, Enzygo, ERAP, Mode, Geomatic, New Vision, Arbtech, Integra, Groundtech, and Hannan Associates all form the project team.

That’s looks a business “development” “focused” on a positive “vision”..
Much better than hearing “negative” news…
