Open storage proposed at Leyland Business Park
Cerberus Capital Management is knocking down office buildings at the Lancashire complex with the intention of letting the land they currently occupy.
Promontoria UK Property Leyland, the CCM vehicle that owns Leyland Business Park, has applied to South Ribble Council for permission to use 2.5 acres off Centurion Way as open storage.
The plot was previously occupied by Centurion House, Sterling Court, The Annex, and an outbuilding, totaling 34,500 sq ft. Work to demolish the buildings is ongoing.
LSH is advising the applicant on plans for the new use.
A cover letting submitted with the planning application describes industrial open storage as “an increasingly popular investment asset class” used by tenants who need to store equipment and goods that do not require protection from the elements.
Mellor Reid is leading on design.
