Winner of Best North West Office View competition revealed
Town & Country Vibro’s wintry landscape in Leyland snagged first place in the Place North West contest, securing more than 680 votes.
More than 2,000 votes poured in for the Best North West Office View competition. Our readers were spoiled for choice really, as there were 21 stellar entries that included everything from the region’s greenest building (Muse’s Eden) to a napping cat.
Second place honours go to Mason Owen’s glam Liverpool skyline shot, while Cole Waterhouse’s dynamic Manchester meeting room view was the third most popular amongst our readers.
Dan Higginson, business development manager at Town & Country Vibro, said the company had not expected to win the Place contest.
“A lot of people prefer cityscape photos, but we thought we’d try something different and throw a more environmental photo of the countryside,” Higginson said.
“We’re pretty blown away with the response we got to our office view,” he continued. “It’s the first time we have entered a competition like this before and to win it was a nice surprise!”
Town & Country Vibro specialises in vibro stone column installation. The company’s work enables brownfield development, by improving the ground and making it suitable for shallow foundations.
With eight specialist rigs, the company has installed more than a million columns for more than 75 clients.
Past projects include the New Park House mental health hub at North Manchester General Hospital, the newest stands at Salford City Football Club’s Peninsula Stadium, and social homes at Castle Irwell in Salford.
Around a dozen of Town & Country Vibro’s 30-strong staff are based in its Leyland office on Sarscow Farm. The company operates out of an old farmhouse that has been converted into an office, which, as we all saw, boasts a breathtaking view of the Lancashire countryside.
It is a view that Higginson and his colleagues make a point to enjoy whenever possible, sitting on the company’s external patio.
“It’s nice to take time out there or to have your lunch outside if it’s nice,” Higginson said.
