Whitfield Architects launches in Cheadle
Chartered architect Mark Whitfield has started his own practice, Whitfield Architects, focused on residential, heritage and commercial projects.
Based in Cheadle, it serves clients across the North West.
Whitfield left his role as associate director of Northmill Associates in Manchester at the end of March, following a previous long-standing position as architect at Hurd Rolland Partnership.
During his time at HRP, Mark took the role of project architect for a number of high-profile schemes, including The Courthouse on Deansgate; the conversion of a grade two-listed former courthouse into an office and leisure scheme.
Whitfield’s other projects at HRP included a residential development at 8 King Street, also in Manchester city centre; and Rutherford House, a commercial office development in Whitehaven, Cumbria.
Whitfield Architects launched in April as an independent family business run by Whitfield and his wife, Liane Baddeley, a business manager, copywriter and former journalist.
