Weightmans swoops for Hardman
Law firm Weightmans has appointed Ian Hardman as partner, joining from Brabners where he headed the firm’s non-contentious construction team.
Hardman, who works across construction and engineering, will be based at Weightmans’ Manchester office in its national built environment team.
Weightmans said that he has a wide range of experience providing advice upon all different types of procurement options and documentation in relation to large building and engineering projects across sectors including education, retail, maritime, developers/investors and energy.
Hardman was at Brabners from 2004 to the end of 2018, and had previously been at Hammonds.
He said: “Weightmans has an enviable reputation in providing a high quality, commercial service to clients in the construction sector, whilst drawing on the expertise of specialists from across the firm to provide a truly holistic service. I am looking forward to collaborating with colleagues and clients to deliver results and success for all. It is great to be here.”
Partner and head of construction Colette Morgan-Ford added: “Ian is joining us at an exciting time and it is a real testament to the team and wider firm that we are able to attract an expert with such an outstanding reputation to our quickly growing department.
“He will play a pivotal role in our ongoing growth, and we are delighted to have made such a significant hire.”
You wouldn’t think he was a hardman. Jason Statham springs to mind etc. But suppose its the ones you least suspect.
