Urban Splash invests further in Boat Shed
The developer is to invest £820,000 in refurbishing a further 14,000 sq ft of space at the 46,000 sq ft former Office Village in Salford Quays.
Splash bought the 1990s-built waterfront complex in August 2016, for around £4m from Columbia Threadneedle. At the time of acquisition the building was 50% vacant, but the developer has since secured 18,000 sq ft of lettings after a refurbishment by Liverpool firm R2 Architecture.
In the past quarter, the company said, its efforts have attracted occupiers including Hat Trick PR, Novo Innovations and Capital Growth Group, taking a combined 8,520 sq ft. In December last year, Lupo Caffe Italiano, having had notice served at Chapel Street, moved to the building.

Canning O’Neill and Avison Young are instructed as joint agents for the development.
