Universal Square adds Softcat to tenant tally

Frogmore Northern's Universal Square has secured another tenant as it continues its run as one of Manchester's most successful office schemes.

Softcat, a provider of software and IT services to the corporate sector, has taken 1,650 sq ft on the first floor of the former Great Universal Stores headquarters in Ardwick.

The scheme has attracted more than 100,000 sq ft of deals in 18 months. Chris Lloyd, of letting agent DTZ, commented: "The volume of lettings that have been secured at Universal Square, including the most recent to Softcat, are testament to the quality accommodation on offer. The extensive car parking and amenities coupled with the quality and flexibility of space available provide a package that potential occupiers are hard-pushed to find elsewhere in the city centre."

Canning O'Neill is joint agent with DTZ at Universal Square.
