Two sign for Park 66 industrial
Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities have disposed of a further 43,000 sq ft to two businesses at Park 66, at Pilsworth in Bury, leaving one industrial unit vacant ahead of the mixed-use park’s expected opening in March 2019.
Self-storage business Sure Store has exchanged contracts on a 18,150 sq ft space, taking up Units 3 and 4, for home, business and office storage services, while flooring firm John L Lord & Sons has secured the 24,721 sq ft Unit 1, both deals being agreed in advance of practical completion.
Brands signed up at the retail part of the 12-acre M66 development include Home Bargains, The Food Warehouse, KFC and Costa, with a single 8,790 sq ft unit left.
Nigel Jones, development director at Sladen Estates said: “Securing these early deals has demonstrated the inherent demand for small to medium sized units in the region.
“With only one unit remaining, we are confident that the scheme will reach full capacity prior to practical completion. The remaining 22,712 sq ft industrial unit is, along with the rest of the scheme, being developed to a high specification and is available on a leasehold and freehold basis.
“Nationally, there is a lack of supply of industrial units at this size coming to the market to purchase freehold, so the north Manchester market is uniquely positioned to benefit from the opportunities available at Park 66.”
