Two compete for digital firm’s return to Liverpool
Digital marketing company Amaze has shortlisted two refurbished office buildings in Liverpool city centre for the relocation of staff from Cheshire.
Downing's The Capital off Old Hall Street and UK Land & Property and Pochin's nearby Exchange Flags are the frontrunners to land the communications firm.
Amaze has a requirement for an office of between 8,000 sq ft and 10,000 sq ft with an autumn date set for the move to Liverpool. The move will be a return of sorts for Amaze, which was founded in Liverpool in the 1990s although the firm later moved to Daresbury. Amaze was rescued from administration in 2007 by media group Hasgrove.
The company is currently based in Kings Court, Manor Farm Road, Runcorn. The search follows the merger of three Hasgrove-owned businesses – Connectpoint, Amaze Europe and Pavilion – which will be re-branded Amaze in September.
Amaze will occupy head offices in central Manchester and has undertaken a search for a short-term requirement in the city centre. Hasgrove is currently based at St John's Court on Quay Street.
Mark Worthington at Irving Rice, now part of CB Richard Ellis, is advising Amaze in Liverpool. David Laws at Edwards & Co is retained in Manchester. GVA Grimley and Keppie Massive are agents for Downing on The Capital; Keppie Massie, Cheetham & Mortimer and King Sturge are joint letting agents for Exchange Flags. Both buildings quote around £16.50/sq ft.
