Thomasons opens Liverpool office
The civil and structural engineering consultant has hired Ian Booth from Fairhurst to head a new office in Liverpool on the back of a growing workload in the city.
Booth is a structural engineer with more than 35 years' experience. He joined Thomasons as associate.
In previous jobs he was involved in projects for Liverpool University and Liverpool John Moores University. He also acted as engineering project director on new soccer academies and accommodation for Liverpool FC and Everton FC.
Thomasons is currently providing structural engineering services for the conversion of Liverpool College of Art for an extension to the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
Richard Levery, director of Thomasons' Manchester office, added: "Our business in Liverpool has grown substantially in recent years and it was therefore a logical move to open a Liverpool office to be closer to our clients. The construction market in Liverpool is expanding and we look forward to offering our extensive expertise in engineering to new projects."
Thomasons has eight UK offices.
