Superdry completes Liverpool ONE move

Superdry has opened its relocated 10,000 sq ft store in Liverpool ONE’s South John Street after making way for a 40,000 sq ft JD Sports on Paradise Street, due to open later this year.

The new Superdry store features a lightbox displaying the Liverpool skyline, as well as a giant screen showcasing the Superdry Summer campaign film, ‘The Night is Young’. The new store stocks the entire Superdry range including both men and women’s Superdry Sport ranges, the Idris Elba collaboration, and the Men’s premium collection.

Alison Clegg from Grosvenor Europe, asset manager of Liverpool ONE, said: “Superdry has created a brilliant new store with several exciting features. They have built a strong catchment of loyal customers and this considerable upsize is testament to their success at Liverpool ONE. We have no doubt they will continue to trade fantastically in this new location.”

Fashion brand, GUESS, opened a 5,000 sq ft store on Paradise Street in May, and British clothing brand, Ben Sherman, opened its first full price store in the UK outside Greater London in Manesty’s Lane earlier this year.

Liverpool needs a new department store – both for the offering and to liven up John Lewis who have become a little complacent! Appreciated Selfridges isn’t a possibility due to restrictions – but there needs to be something else! Please Miles?

Debenhams is a department store..?

By Spock

Thanks Spock – I meant a high end one – such as Harvey Nichols/Selfridges/House of Fraser. I personally consider John Lewis more high end than Debenhams, however it is sitting on its laurels a bit as doesn’t have a competitor (in my opinion). But I had heard Debenhams was closing. I don’t know how true this is.
