Story Homes submits application for 87 houses

Plans have been submitted to South Lakeland Council for a residential development on a 10-acre site at West End Nurseries in Ulverston.

The proposal includes a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom mews, semi-detached and detached homes, 30 of which will be affordable.

Story Homes development planner David Hayward said: “We are seeking detailed planning consent for a new development of 87 homes on land at West End Nurseries in Ulverston. This follows a public consultation in December 2016 with the local community.

“The land at West End Nurseries has already been allocated for residential development by South Lakeland Council and we hope to deliver the best possible housing solution here.”

A decision is expected in summer 2017.

Story Homes is a property developer with more than 30 schemes across the North and is based in Carlisle.
