Stonebond, Great Places combine for Wigan homes

An application for 106 properties on the site of Enterprise House in Ince has been submitted to the local council.

Enterprise House, a two-storey 1960s office building, was demolished last year. The Seaman Way site is now ready to be redeveloped, subject to planning approval.

Stonebond Properties and Great Places Housing Group want to build 34 two-bedroom, 62 three-bedroom, and 10 four-bedroom houses.

All the properties would be available on affordable tenures; 42 for shared ownership and 64 for affordable rent.

Barratt Homes has permission to build 337 homes on a plot to the south of the former Enterprise House. Dobson Industrial Park is located to the north, on the opposite side of the Manchester to Southport railway line.

Urban Green is advising the applicants on the scheme’s design. Lichfields is the planning consultant.
