Spinningfields signs Great Fridays to Tower 12

Digital advertising agency Great Fridays has taken a 5,000 sq ft office at Tower 12 in Allied London's Manchester development.

Great Fridays was founded in Manchester and now has other offices in London and San Francisco. The agency will relocate from its current home in Parsonage Chambers to Tower 12 when the building completes this summer. In March, software company Datalex and planning consultancy Barton Willmore agreed leases at the building.

Mike Ingall, chief executive of Allied London, said: "With Great Fridays signed to move into Tower 12, it shows the space we are creating is exactly what the market is looking for at this time, and I am very pleased the building is filling up well before it is finished.

"What's even more exciting for us is that we expect to work with these businesses to help expand theirs, and benefit ours. We are definitely bringing a new and exciting occupier base to Spinningfields; this will inform and fuel future phases, all exciting stuff."

Great Fridays provides websites, mobile and tablet applications to enhance customer experience and product strategy for clients including Vodafone, Adobe, Thomson Reuters, Gucci, Imagination Technology, Pearson, Orange and Williams Lea.

Matt Farrar, founder of Great Fridays, said: "As we are expanding our Manchester team, moving to Tower 12 makes complete sense. The location at Spinningfields is superb, while the office space itself, full of natural light will provide a good working environment and great place to welcome our clients to. It is important to us that our team have the best working environment in Manchester, and we are confident we have found it. Tower 12 aligns perfectly with our London office presence and our new base in San Francisco."

OBI Property is the sole leasing consultant and project manager acting on behalf of Allied London. Will Lewis, partner, OBI Property, said: "It's great to build on the success of the initial lettings. To have concluded four pre-let transactions on a refurbishment project really does confirm how occupiers understand the type of product we are creating at Tower 12. The building is far more than a conventional office and the mixed use nature of the future retail and leisure operators provides a great mix."

Formerly known as Manchester House, Tower 12 comprises 75,000 sq ft of floor space; 40,000 sq ft of offices over ten floors and ten new retail and leisure units in Avenue North.

Located in Spinningfields, Tower 12 is connected to Bridge Street via the pedestrian walkway created by Avenue North. Salford Central train station is just a few minutes walk from Tower 12, while Victoria station, providing access to trams and trains is just five minutes away.
