Sourced progresses Derby Arms scheme

Widnes-based Sourced Development Group has won approval from Liverpool City Council to build 27 apartments on the site of the former Derby Arms pub, close to the Eventim Olympia concert venue and former Grafton Rooms nightclub.

Sourced has appointed Birkenhead-based Swanside Group to build the scheme and the contractor will start on site “as soon as practicable”, according to Sourced director Joanne Waller.

Designed by Studio Attis, Derby Court will be a four-storey development comprising 22 one-bedroom and five studio apartments.

Following planning consent, JDA Architects has been appointed as the post-planning architect for the project, replacing Studio Attis.

The site is empty and surrounded by hoardings, following the pub’s demolition in 2019.

Sourced expects the scheme to complete next year.

On Regent Road in Salford, lead contractor Helix Consulting, alongside Evadx Steel Fabricators, is on site building out Sourced’s Regent Plaza development, a 525-apartment scheme spread across five blocks ranging from four storeys to 24 storeys.

The steel frame for Block B, at 10 storeys, is being constructed by Evadx and is expected to complete later this month.

Fletcher Rae is the architect for the project.

Sourced Development purchased the site on Regent Road last July.

Is that 10 storey block what you’d call a hi-rise?

Sourced Developments have a number of schemes on the go in Liverpool , with Kingsway Square and Derby Court on site , plus Bishops Place and Carlton Court proposed.
If these work out it could mean we get a reliable developer on the scene, and this may lead to bigger and better things.

They have a number of developments on the go in Liverpool and none of them have got to the stage where they are out of the ground – another load of fractional sale operators.
