Signature Living expands residential portfolio
The Liverpool-based developer, known largely for hotels, has marked its entrance into the Manchester market with the launch of flats for sale in Victoria Mill, and has acquired another site in Liverpool for conversion into apartments.
Victoria Mill in Miles Platting is a grade two-listed former textile mill, designed in 1869 by George Woodhouse. The six-storey red brick building has already been converted into apartments, however the plans by Signature Living will see the flats refurbished to create “the Signature touch”.
Due to complete by the end of the year, the mill will total 29 one-bedroom apartments, and 62 two-bedroom apartments.
The flats are being marketed for sale from £159,000.
Victoria Mill is Signature Living’s first project in Manchester.
The company’s rapid rise has seen it open 30 James Street Hotel and the football-themed Shankly Hotel in Liverpool in recent years. The hotels boast a high occupancy rate, and are known for their opulent fit-outs and popularity with stag and hen parties.
In Liverpool’s West Derby, Signature has submitted a planning application to convert Bankfield College into “luxury” apartments.
Bankfield is a former City of Liverpool College site. The proposals would see the building refurbished to include 98 flats, split between 68 one-bedroom, and 32 two-bedrooms. The scheme also includes a gym and concierge.
