Signature Living expands into co-working market

The Bling Bling Building is one of three office locations in Liverpool city centre being offered by Signature Works, the recently launched co-working arm of Signature Living.

Signature Living is known primarily for its Liverpool hotels which cater for large groups and parties. The developer has also recently branched into residential projects, with a planning application to turn Bankfield College, formerly Liverpool City College, into 93 apartments likely to be approved later today.

The developer is now targeting the co-working office market, with space available across three buildings in Liverpool; these are the Bling Bling Building, the Arthouse Building and Old Hall Street.

Signature Works offers clients different levels of membership, much like a gym, for their co-working spaces. The prices vary with the different locations.

In the Bling Bling Building prices range from £75 a month for a virtual membership which includes mail collection and a Bling Bling Building address, and up to £315 a month for a dedicated work space including a personal desk and gym membership. A private office is also available with the price on request.

Hairstylist Herbert Howe’s 15,000 sq ft Bling Bling Building was bought by Signature Living last year. It was designed by architect Piers Gough in 2006 to reflect the personality of Howe who died in October.

The six-storey block at 69 Hanover Street formerly housed Howe’s Herbert of Liverpool salon but will now offer 8,000 sq ft of offices, two meeting rooms, 55 co-working desks, 30 dedicated desks, 10 private offices and a signature café.

Signature is also offering the Arthouse Building on Seel Street with 3,000 sq ft of space, two meeting rooms, 45 co-working spaces, 20 dedicated desks and five private offices. The Arthouse is already used as a Signature hotel with a bar and pizzeria.

Clients can also choose Old Hall Street with 8,000 sq ft of flexible space, two meeting rooms, 45 co-working spaces, five private offices and an on-site gym. The site is already home to one of Signature’s residential developments with 115 apartments.
