Second sale at Capital & Centric’s Foundry

Capital & Centric has sold two 3,700 sq ft business units at its recently completed Foundry development in Salford to Outstanding Beers, a local brewery which has relocated from Bury.

The 47,000 sq ft Foundry, formerly known as Digital Village, faces the grade two-listed Ordsall Hall, and totals 12 business units.

The first occupier was announced earlier this year as Gate Films, which also acquired two units for use as sound stages for the production of TV and film content.

The market quoting freehold value at Foundry is £85/sq ft.

According to Capital & Centric, 11 of the 12 units went under offer prior to practical completion.

The developer acquired the 4.5-acre site from Salford City Council in 2015.

Tim Heatley, co-founder of Capital & Centric, said: “The line up of creative and innovative businesses at Foundry is testament to our ambition and design led approach to regeneration. The site was derelict for a long time and to see the boulevard busy with joggers, cyclist and new businesses is massively rewarding for us all. I’m looking forward to having one of the first beers to be brewed on Ordsall Lane.”
