Second deal completes at City Place Chester
Energy specialist Power Solutions UK has taken 5,950 sq ft of office space on the fourth floor of Muse Developments’ One City Place in Chester on a 10-year lease.
The deal is the second to complete at the building next to the city’s main train station. Accountant RSM signed for 8,000 sq ft on the top floor in August. However, Muse said the deal takes the 70,000 sq ft building to half full if deals in the final stages of negotiations were counted.
Power Solutions UK will relocate 54 staff from Oakbase House in Trafford Street, Chester in November.
Phil Mayall, development director at Muse, said: “With 50% of the space now let or in lawyers’ hands, there remains strong interest in the remaining floorplates. With more lettings in the pipeline in the coming weeks, City Place is fast becoming the number one business destination in the city.”
Jeremy Taylor from Power Solutions UK, said: “When we decided to relocate, we considered a number of options but felt that One City Place was the only location us. There is a real buzz in the city about the first office development in the City Place scheme, especially as it is starting to fill up, and we wanted to be a part of it.”
CBRE and Bilfinger GVA are joint agents on the scheme.
One City Place was partly funded by the North West Evergreen Fund and European Regional Development Fund.
