Rydill rides into Wilde

Wilde Consultants has appointed Geoff Rydill as highways director at its recently opened Liverpool office.

Rydill, a former technical director at Amey Consulting, is a chartered civil engineer with more than 30 years’ experience working at both public and private sector organisations.

He has also worked at Mouchel and Capita Symonds.

Engineering firm Wilde, which has offices in Stockport and London as well as Liverpool, now employs more than 100 staff.

The firm said Rydill will work closely with the management team to help drive further business growth in the highways sector across the Merseyside region.

Wilde is currently working with Network Rail and a number of local authorities along with private sector clients, with a project list including Tameside’s Godley Green garden village, the Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone spine road and various cycling and walking improvement schemes.

Managing director Shaun Tickle said: “I am looking forward to working with Geoff. He is a ‘hands on’ engineer, passionate about his profession and has a track record of delivering complex large scale highway engineering projects.”
