RW Joinery reports £2m of business
Stockport-based independent contractor, RW Joinery, has said it secured over £2m of new contracts on education, residential healthcare and leisure projects in the region between March and May this year.
RW Joinery has been appointed on construction projects including The Rock in Bury for Miller Construction, Gateacre School in Liverpool for Balfour Beatty Construction Northern, Queens Park leisure centre in St Helen's for ISG, Tesco in Walkden for Bowmer & Kirkland and three primary healthcare centres in Liverpool for Galliford Try Construction.
RW Joinery will manufacture, supply and fix door sets, reception desks and design features including panelling in addition to traditional joinery works.
Chris Robinson, managing director at RW Joinery, said: "These projects demonstrate our ability to work across a variety of market sectors undertaking large scale joinery packages. Over the past few years we have worked hard to secure work with major contractors on key public sector projects including schools and hospitals but we are encouraged by the number of enquiries we are starting to receive again for commercial, residential and leisure projects."
RW Joinery has also made new appointments with Denise Garforth joining the firm as a buyer and Tony Simms as an estimator.
Robinson added: "We welcome Denise and Tony on board and are confident that our increased resource will contribute to a record year for the business."
The family-owned business was established in 1967 and RW Joinery said it has doubled its turnover since Robinson took over the company from his father Doug Robinson in 2000.
