Retailer bags 95,000 sq ft Heywood shed

N Brown has signed a 10-year lease at Link95 at Hareshill Distribution Park.

The fashion and homeware retailer will move into the 95,000 sq ft shed, owned by Colliers Global Investors and previously occupied by McCormicks.

McCormicks, which manufactures herbs and spices, had signed a 10-year lease on the unit in 2018 but exercised a five-year break clause to vacate the site.

Ken Mellis, head of workplace, facilities, and engineering at N Brown, said: “Our aim is to ensure that N Brown customers are provided an outstanding customer service proposition through our supply chain operations.

“Link95 meets our needs for the handling of our homeware product and, with unrivalled access to the motorway network in the north, as well as easy access to our head office in Manchester city centre and our main distribution site in Shaw.”

Nathan Khanverdi, associate director at Colliers, said: “Securing this new lease with no vacancy period underscores the exceptional quality of the building and the prime location in Heywood.

“We wish N Brown the very best in their new premises – it’s truly gratifying being involved in such a transaction with a major Manchester-based business.”

Savills acted on behalf of N Brown and CBRE were the joint letting agent Link95 with Colliers.
