Redsun secures funder and occupier for Bootle warehouse
Redsun Developments has exchanged contracts with Global Gate Capital to forward fund a 170,000 sq ft manufacturing facility at Senate Business Park, Merseyside.
The development is being delivered on an 11-acre site in Bootle, which Redsun acquired from Sefton Council. The Liverpool-based developer secured detailed planning consent for the Fletcher Rae-designed scheme in May 2016 and have appointed Eric Wright Construction as main contractor.
Construction is due to complete in summer 2017.
The warehouse has been pre-let to Domino Printing Sciences as its UK fluids manufacturing headquarters. Domino develops and manufactures coding and printing technologies, and is a division of Brother Industries, a public company based in Nagoya, Japan, and listed on the Japanese Stock Exchange.
Craig Booton, director of Redsun Developments, said: “The funding deal with Global Gate Capital will allow construction work to start on site immediately.
“The site has been derelict for many years, so we now look forward to delivering this world class manufacturing facility for Domino Printing Sciences.
“It is testament to the quality of the scheme we’ve put together that we’ve been able to attract a tenant and funder of the quality of Domino and Global Gate.”
Redsun was advised by B8 Real Estate, Domino was represented by Colliers, Global Gate was advised by DTRE.
