Redsun buys in Ellesmere Port

Redsun Developments has acquired a 6.3-acre site from Cheshire West & Chester Council, and in the next few months is due to start building a 50,000 sq ft business park.

Branded Helix, the business park will be the first phase of development at the plot on Newbridge Road, and will be due for occupation in early 2017. Detailed planning consent has already been secured.

Newbridge Road has undergone significant public realm investment by Cheshire West & Chester Council and is within the newly designated Cheshire Science Corridor Enterprise Zone, meaning future occupants of the business park could benefit from up to 100% business rates relief.

Craig Booton, managing director of Redsun Developments, said: “We’ve been busy completing land deals in the early part of 2016 which will help fulfil our development pipeline for the next 12 months. We expect Helix Business Park to be coming out of the ground in the next few months with the completed development ready for occupation in early 2017. The Enterprise Zone status is sure to add to the attraction of this well-located development to occupiers looking for high quality premises close to the motorway network.”

Legat Owen is the instructed agent for the development.
