Promotion at AEW Architects
Manchester-based architects practice, AEW, has promoted Mike Guy to associate director. Guy joined the company 18 months ago to manage its work with the Sport England Technical Consultancy Framework. AEW is one of only four Sport England advisors appointed to provide design consultancy service to Sport England.
Steve Burne, managing director of AEW, said: “Mike has played a pivotal role in the delivery of our Sport England projects. He has a strong track record in the sports sector and has proven to be a valuable asset to the team. This promotion is in recognition of his commitment and dedication over the last year and a half.”
Guy added: “Through AEW, I have had the opportunity to work on some exciting and high profile sports projects, particularly those with Sport England. I have found that my knowledge and previous experience of Sports and other sectors both in the UK, with various stadium projects and internationally, with the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku has proven invaluable. Looking to the future, my position as Associate Director will allow further input to the strategic delivery of exciting sports projects which will support the ongoing growth and success of AEW.”
AEW is a 60-strong practice based at Spring Gardens in Manchester city centre providing planning, architectural, exterior and interior design services for a broad spectrum of clients across various sectors including industrial and logistics, retail and hotel, sport and leisure, commercial office and masterplanning.
