Pochin to build Castlefield townhouses

The contractor has won the £9.5m contract to build DeTrafford Estates Group’s 70-unit residential development in Manchester’s Castlefield district.
The Roof Gardens at One Ellesmere Street will provide 49 townhouses and 22 apartments aimed at families and young professionals. The architect is Ollier Smurthwaite.
The site is close to Urban Splash’s Timber Wharf and Dandara’s St George’s Island developments fronting the Bridgewater Canal.
Work on the project is expected to be completed in January 2017.
DeTrafford Estates Group is based in Alderley Edge.
