Plans submitted for affordable Gwynedd resi

Williams Homes and housing association Adra have teamed up to deliver 30 homes on the four-acre greenfield plot opposite Stad Cremlyn in Bethel.

Plans lodged with Gwynedd Council include four bungalows, as well as four one-bedroom flats. There would also be eight two-, 12 three-, and two four-bedroom houses.

Designed by Saer Architects, the scheme would provide 100% affordable housing provision, with each residence available for either intermediate or social rent. The intermediate rents would be based on a local housing allowance or 80% of open market rentals.

“The houses will be energy efficient, built to a high standard, and provide living space adequate for comfortable modern living”, according to a housing mix statement submitted by Adra.

Proposals also include the provision of public open spaces, including the improvements of the existing playing field and outdoor play area on site.

Currently used for grazing, the plot would be accessed off the B4366 via a new access road.

Cadnant Planning is the scheme’s planning consultant. Also on the project team are SCP, Datrys Consulting Engineers, Enfys Ecology, and Land Studio.
