Plans in to refurb Royal Liver floors
An application has been lodged for the refurbishment of two floors at the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, bought for £48m in February this year in a joint venture between Luxembourg-based Corestate Capital Holding and a vehicle controlled by Everton owner Farhad Moshiri.
The application covers part of the second floor and the whole seventh floor, totalling 15,064 sq ft and 27,976 sq ft respectively. CBRE is acting as agent, and states in the application that the proposal is to remove all fit-out elements of the previous occupiers and speculatively fit out open-plan office space.
It adds that “the current speculation falls short of grade A standard”. Entry doors, power and data and lighting will all be renewed, as will heating, cooling and ventilation as the owners look to bring the space up to the standards expected of a blue-chip address that is home to the likes of Princes Foods and Grant Thornton.
Historically the home of Royal Liver Assurance, the building was put up for sale for the first time in its history last year.
