The Midlands becomes the fourth regional property market of the UK to receive Place Media Group’s unrivalled blend of news, events, and marketing.

Place Midlands is supported by founding partners, developer Muse and investment promotion agency West Midlands Growth Company.

Maggie Grogan, managing director – Midlands at Muse, said: “Across the North of England, Place has proven to be an invaluable partner by championing regeneration, promoting regional economies, and challenging the sector when needed.

“We have no doubt Place Midlands will play an equally important role as part of a thriving investment and regeneration eco-system in both the East and West Midlands.”

Muse has major projects in the Midlands at Smithgate in Wolverhampton, Greyfriars in Northampton, as well as Mell Square and Arden Cross, both in Solihull.

Grogan added: “Muse is pleased to be partnering with the Place team to support its expansion, continuing to put the Midlands at the forefront of the national agenda.”

Neil Rami, chief executive of the West Midlands Growth Company, said: “With a strong track record of successfully profiling the UK’s property market, we’re delighted to support Place Media Group in launching Place Midlands. Covering three major cities and four thriving towns, the scale of regeneration here rivals that of entire European nations.

“From innovation-driven Investment Zones and sports-led regeneration, to an ambitious housing programme, momentum in the West Midlands is growing and ready to be seized. I look forward to working with the Place Midlands team to share our region’s story.”

Paul Unger, founder and publisher, Place Media Group, said: “The Midlands has been on our radar for a long time, in its own right but also as a major neighbouring region to our roots in the North West, where we started nearly 20 years ago.

“This is a big move for us as a business given the scale of the news patch that the Midlands represents – in terms of development activity, population growth, transport connections and so much more.”

Unger went on: “Our Midlands partners were keen to bring visibility to their work and we are honoured to be in a position, with their support, to start doing that from today.

“There will be announcements in due course about the editorial and commercial team for the Midlands as the publication becomes established.”
