      The Role

Tameside is perfectly positioned for growth. With a wealth of culture, history and heritage to draw on and proud foundations that make it unique. Located just 12 minutes from Manchester City Centre yet nestled in the foothills of the Peak District; we’re gifted with urban opportunity and rural tranquillity offering an ideal location for easy access to both the city and countryside.

With some of the largest pockets of land in the Greater Manchester area available for development, it really is a fantastic canvas for regeneration and growth with the aspiration, vision and ambition to match. We are all about creating the right environment to attract investment, jobs, homes and infrastructure to continue to make Tameside a great place to live, work, invest and visit.

Investment is underway through substantial major regeneration and capital projects across the borough. Bringing significant affordable housing development, substantial infrastructure investment to improve our connectivity across the region and beyond, alongside the revitalisation and re-imagination of our town centres.

Reporting to the Regeneration Manager you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Tameside’s ambitious proposals across our town centres and at strategic sites, including Godley Green and Ashton Moss, in support of the Council’s corporate objectives for growth. You will be responsible for the management of relevant contractors and external consultants engaged to deliver these projects.

      About You

You will be educated to degree level.

You will have experience of project management in property development and/or town centre regeneration in a range of multi- agency and partnership settings to deliver investment and development projects.

You will be able to work at pace with enthusiasm.

Unfortunately, at this time we are not able to offer sponsorship.

We are committed to developing a culture which respects individuals, appreciates difference and allows everyone regardless of background to reach their full potential. We are proud to be an accredited disability confident employer. Reasonable Adjustments will be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 in relation to the Job Role Criteria.
